This year 2015 is very significant as it is celebrating 100 years. In room 4 many children have shared their knowledge and connection with ANZAC day. Amelia and Zoe brought along information about their family connections to ANZAC DAY. Amelia even made ANZAC biscuits for everyone in Room 4.! Thanks - they were delicious. Miss O'Loughlin's Grandad was in WW1. Room 4 put a little display up in the hall for our ANZAC Assembly.
At the Halswell ANZAC service Rose and Mrs Ward marched with the Pippins. Oaklands students laid a special wreath.
The poppy was the first flower to grow in the Flanders fields at the end of the war.
